A moment for the ages! Suryakumar Yadav’s sensational grab which turned the T20 World Cup final in India’s favour. Watch | Cricket News



NEW DELHI: Suryakumar Yadav might have flopped with the bat in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa but his fielding prowess left an indelible mark in the hearts of Indians fans.
In a nail-biting encounter at Kensington Oval on Saturday, India emerged victorious in the T20 World Cup final, defeating South Africa by a narrow margin of seven runs.
The match, which kept spectators on the edge of their seats, took a decisive turn in India’s favour thanks to an outstanding catch by Suryakumar Yadav near the boundary rope.

With 16 to win off the last over, Hardik Pandya bowled a full-toss at David Miller who smashed it high straight down the ground but Suryakumar produced a breath-taking catch on the boundary, throwing the ball back into play before he crossed the ropes and then returning to complete the catch.

With 16 to win off the last over, Hardik Pandya, tasked with bowling the crucial over, pitched a full-toss to David Miller. The batsman connected well, launching the ball high and straight down the ground. Suryakumar, positioned on the boundary, showcased his exceptional fielding skills with a stunning catch.
In a display of incredible athleticism, Suryakumar leaped to intercept the ball just as it seemed destined to cross the boundary. With remarkable presence of mind, he threw the ball back into play before he crossed the ropes. Regaining his balance, he then re-entered the field of play, completing a catch that left spectators in awe.
Talking about the match, Virat Kohli‘s 76 led India to a strong 176-7 but after Heinrich Klaasen blasted a superb 52 from 27 balls South Africa were closing in on victory only to be halted by some outstanding Indian bowling at the end.
South Africa ended on 169-8 with Hardik Pandya taking 3-20 for India to the delight of the huge Indian following at the stadium.
